Everyday people go to counseling for many different issues that they face. We all have issues, but expressing them often helps to work through them.
I have a journal and I try to write in it everyday. Think through the day, what happened, how I am feeling, lots of random things. If I skip days, I feel worse. For a long time when people told me about the benefits of journaling I did not believe them, but I have found it to be true.
Through the days comes stress and issues, it is by writing down my thoughts and emotions that I work through and relax. I encourage everyone to journal and maybe it can save you some counseling. Journaling from me keeps my life from internal explosion, it could help you too.
