This was thought that went through my head as I was running yesterday. I had reached the halfway point, I was sweating like a pig and the heat was oppressive.
My mom encouraged me to keep going and we did. With each step, I wanted to stop, I wanted to sit down and quit, but one step at a time we went forward to the end.
In our lives, we often think… I can’t. I can’t take this job another day, I can’t achieve my dream. But we don’t see the path and we may never see the path, but we just have to take a step.
We are told in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” We just have to take each step in faith and trust God. Step by step we will move along the path and toward the destination He has for us.
Don’t look at how far you have to go, just take one step at a time.
